Role Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be responsible for delivering high-quality comprehensive primary care to patients at our client's free healthcare clinics. This role includes taking patient histories, performing physical exams, ordering laboratory tests, diagnosing illnesses, and providing treatment. The APP may also prescribe medications (with the appropriate furnishing license) and dispense medications as needed. The role operates under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Associate Director(s), following the scope of licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary primary care to patients, including taking histories, performing exams, and determining treatments.
- Prescribe medications and dispense from the clinic dispensary.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and management to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medical and psychosocial information in patient records.
- Assist in training and guiding the clinic's volunteer workforce.
