Description
The Deputy Clerk of the Board provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Board of Commissioners and the County Administrator, handling sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism. This role assists the Clerk of the Board and assumes clerk duties when necessary. Key responsibilities include preparing reports, coordinating special projects, managing meeting logistics, and providing administrative support to various county boards and commissions, sometimes requiring evening meetings. The Deputy Clerk also maintains official calendars, conducts research, responds to public inquiries, and assists other county departments as directed. Additionally, this position serves as the County Title II ADA Coordinator, ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements, and acts as the Clerk of the Board of Equalization (BOE), overseeing administrative functions for tax appeal hearings.
