Salary Information
The compensation for this position ranges from $6,031.95 [Starting Wage] to $7,349.37 [Top Wage] per month. This salary structure is based on the County’s 9-step pay scale.
Description
This position involves developing individualized release plans, facilitating access to community resources, and ensuring a seamless transition for clients by serving as a key liaison between correctional institutions and service providers. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining accurate clinical records, supporting institutional staff with mental health expertise, and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical judgment, an understanding of correctional health standards, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Education/Training
- A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university, with a Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, biopsychosocial assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
- Current licensure in Washington State in a mental health or counseling field preferred. If licensed must be in good standing with no license restrictions or probationary status. Supervision for licensure may be provided.
