What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Interventionist position at Clara Martin Center?
We have immediate full-time Behavioral Interventionist positions available to provide support to students in their classroom setting at Thetford Elementary School, East Valley Academy, South Royalton and at Waits River Elementary.
Responsibilities-
- As a Behavioral Interventionist, you will be instrumental in implementing individualized treatment plans to support clients, particularly children, with behavioral challenges.
- Reporting to a licensed clinician, your core skills in applied behavior analysis and patient care will be essential in fostering positive behavioral changes.
- Your skills in crisis intervention and experience with developmental disabilities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
- your understanding of medical documentation and behavioral health will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, contributing to the overall well-being and development of those you serve.

Other functions may include:
- modeling of appropriate problem-solving skills, social skills, life skills, and a healthy lifestyle
- providing opportunities to enhance vocational skills and participate in physical education programs.
- This position may serve as liaison for schools, DCF, and other agencies and may assist in providing de-escalation and behavioral management and support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in applied behavior analysis and client care
- Knowledgeable in HIPAA regulations and documentation
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism
