What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Specialist position at Clara Martin Center?
Clara Martin Center is looking for an individual to fill a full-time Behavioral Specialist position in the White River Valley Supervisory Union in Bethel, VT. We are looking for a candidate with experience in universal PBIS systems.
The Behavioral Specialist's schedule will follow the academic calendar for Bethel School.
Responsibilities include:
-Working with children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
-Providing Behavioral Assessments, Consultations, and Behavioral Plans for the school program.
-Providing oversight and support to school based staff in the management of behaviors and implementation of school wide behavioral support programs.
-Diagnose with formal/informal assessments, strengths and weaknesses of students learning ability and assist in coordinating appropriate services.
-Assist and model appropriate problem solving skills, social skills, life skills, and a healthy lifestyle.
-Provides consultation with teachers, parents, other clinicians, community groups and programs when necessary.
-Flexibility, dependability, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to be a team player are essential. Bachelor’s degree required. BCBA certification required or in process.
