Overview
The Clara Martin Center is seeking a respite worker in the Bradford and Randolph areas to provide support & supervision for children who have emotional challenges. This person would provide therapeutic support and other individualized services for children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves providing temporary relief to primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest while ensuring that the needs of the individual are met.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and report any changes in condition, including vital signs and general well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to health and well-being.
- Support social engagement through activities that promote interaction and enjoyment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of first aid practices and home health care procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to monitor patients effectively, including taking vital signs if necessary.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
- Physical capability to lift individuals as needed and perform tasks that require mobility.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for those in your care.
