What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Teacher for Alternative Learning Environment position at Clara Martin Center?
The Clara Martin Center's East Valley Academy school program is a vital resource for students who benefit from an alternative educational experience. Located on Route 14 in East Randolph, East Valley Academy is a small independent school with roughly 15 employees and 12-24 students depending on enrollment. Classroom sizes are very small with 4-6 students in each classroom, which allows for unique connects and relationships between students and teachers. Each classroom has a Classroom Case Manager for additional support and teachers have access to a Curriculum Coordinator for consultation & training.
We are seeking a creative instructor to middle school and high school science in our unique alternative school setting. We combine curriculum-based instruction with adventure-based learning, to maximize student engagement.
Candidate does not need to be licensed but must have a bachelor's degree in science or related area. Endorsement to teach in the area of science and certification as highly qualified to teach status is acceptable.
