Schedule
Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lunch daily from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. and frequent 15-minute breaks throughout the day.
Pay
$15/hr
$75 for on-call week (rotating schedule)
Overtime factor of 1.5x hourly rate
Synopsis
The primary goal of the groundskeeper/maintenance person is to keep the community looking its best through daily operations including trash collection, leaf collection, pressure washing, lawn care and other general tasks.

· Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.
· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work in an outdoor environment with high heat.
Duties/Responsibilities
Trash Collection – Daily trash collection for all units within the community and public spaces. Trash is collected on foot while the driver operates a trash truck. Trash is collected Mondays and Thursdays. The first Monday of each month is heavy trash day for bulk items.
Dog Run – Daily collection of trash at dog waste stations and refill of supplies.
Leaves – Collection of all leaves in the community by use of a leaf machine. To work in coordination with the operator of the leaf machine.
Sewer Plant Cleaning – The sewer plant has an operator that manages the daily chores of the plant. There are two tasks completed by the groundskeeper to support the job of the operator including cleaning solids off of the grate and disposing of the trash bag at the plant.
Sewer Backups – Clearing of the sewer line to units as needed.
Pressure Washing – Pressure cleaning of common areas on a regular schedule including sidewalks, building exteriors, and equipment.
Pool Cleaning – Daily cleaning of pool tiles, blowing off of loose debris on deck and in the pool, clearing of sand from pool floor, and cleaning of filters. Chlorine and PH level testing.
Generally – Any other tasks that may need to be performed in order to improve the overall appearance and sanitary condition of the community, as determined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Education and Experience
No special education or certification is required.
Experience with operating a tractor and other large machinery preferred.
