Description
Position Summary : The Quality Assurance Technician coordinates with production employees daily to ensure quality systems and standards are followed throughout the facility. This position will also be responsible for final product verification to include bench top testing, label verification, and product formula verification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance to all regulatory standards including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), etc.
- Periodic inspection of all aspects of the operation and report deficiencies
- Assist in customer complaint resolution and preventative action
- Communicate with production personnel and QA Management regarding out of specification food safety and quality monitoring results.
- Collaborate with production personnel to solve problems.
- Responsible for knowledge and adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) for Food Manufacturing standards as trained upon annually.
- Responsible for assuring the products meet customer quality and food safety requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring product parameters to stay within clients' specifications.
- Expected to work required hours needed to execute production quantities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Responsible for knowledge and adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) for Food Manufacturing standards, FDA compliance, FSMA compliance, GFCO certification, Organic certification, GMP Program, Allergen Program, and other food safety programs; as trained upon initial hire and annually."

COMPENSATION : The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22.00 to $25.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Claremont Foods good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
