Position Summary: Warehouse Associates are responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow Claremont safety policies and procedures and encourage other team members to do the same.
- Safely operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products
- Adhere to FIFO standards.
- Work cooperatively and productively with other team members in order to complete tasks under little supervision.
- Load trucks according to cubic weight, size and characteristics
- Provide outstanding service by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Maintain condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
- Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation.
- Locate product in warehouse using manifest or scanning system.
- Transport product to/from production/receiving area using powered industrial vehicle.
- Ensure all plant personnel are operating in compliance with plant procedures. Report any non-compliance immediately to upper management.
- Expected to work the required hours needed to execute the duties and responsibilities of a warehouse associate.
- Ability to drive forklift and obtain/maintain forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs without assistance.
- Able to stand for 8 hours at a time.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
- 6 months previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience with Plex
- Clear understanding and proven abilities in managing multiple, often conflicting, priorities.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact in a positive way with all personnel within the organization and customers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to think outside of the box and use innovative methods to solve problems.
