OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN

- Patient pre-testing, post-testing, optos (retinal imaging), visual field, topography, OCT / High quality patient care
- Explain to the patient the types of preliminary exam testing / Able to give instruction in a clear and concise manner
- Understand ocular terminology and diseases and know the ocular abbreviations
- Ensure equipment, both Doctors and pre-test, is properly sanitized and maintained
- Experience with electronic health records / Compulink program knowledge helpful
- Proficient computer and internet skills / Verify patient insurance benefits
- Familiar with various Medical and Vision insurances, including co-pays and deductibles
- Have strong communication and pleasant customer service aptitude
- Experience with answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients
- Consult with opticians and Doctor / Cross-train to assist with other office duties
- High level of accuracy and be able to work independently
- Personable, professional, presentable and detail oriented / Organized and have superior time management
- Minimum 1 year of experience desired / Hourly rate commensurate to level of experience
