Requirements:
California credential required authorizing service in a Special Education setting with Mild-Moderate Disabilities. Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in Multiple Subjects. CLAD Authorization. Autism Spectrum Disorder Added Authorization.
CBEST transcript if newly hired in the State of California or if no public school employment within the last 39 calendar months in a California public school.
Description of Duties:
Ability to work with special need students, both in pull-out and collaborative settings. Experience with student assessment and IEP development; implementation of behavior management systems; modification of core curricula, and instructional strategies; communication with regular education staff; and ability to work with a team approach. Experience utilizing a variety of reading methodology desired. Knowledge and experience with Autism is desirable.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on Education Specialist Salary Schedule. Credit may be given for the immediate preceding nine years of prior to being hired for verified teaching experience requiring a teaching credential.
