Position Overview
We are hiring a highly motivated Outreach & Community Engagement Coordinator to lead our external relationship-building and referral growth strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with schools, pediatricians, therapists, athletic programs, and other healthcare providers to promote our specialty services and drive patient acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources (schools, MDs, PTs, OTs, SLPs, etc.)
- Represent our practice at health fairs, screenings, school events, and local community functions
- Organize and host in-service presentations and educational events
- Create and track outreach campaigns that drive measurable growth in referrals and new patient appointments
- Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and admin teams to align outreach goals with business development
- Track data and provide monthly reporting on outreach impact
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in healthcare outreach, medical sales, community engagement, or physician liaison roles
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Background in optometry, physical therapy, pediatric therapy, or related healthcare fields preferred
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up abilities
- Confident presenting to healthcare professionals, school staff, and community groups
What Success Looks Like
- 30–35 new patients per month sourced from outreach
- 5 community partnerships activated monthly
- 2 outreach events or presentations hosted each month
- Growth in patient referrals and appointment bookings tied to outreach
