The primary function of this role is to cultivate and nurture strategic relationships for Clariant's Industrial Applications business. Your goal is to understand the specific needs of the customer, deliver tailored solutions, and drive revenue growth while ensuring their long-term satisfaction. This is a home-based opportunity that requires frequent travel - domestic and international - with a top and bottom-line responsibility for regional and select Global Key Accounts. Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, helping them make informed decisions about product and service offerings
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of client orders, projects, and deliverables
- Monitor account performance, analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations
- Forecast and manage account budgets, revenue projections, and sales pipelines
- Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue within key accounts
- Define and coordinate technical support for application and product development
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to key accounts
- Serve as ambassador, expectation manager and driver of the Key Accounts in our organization
- Collaborate with internal teams on product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on customer feedback and market insights
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities to identify potential new customers and market opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop sales strategies, create proposals, and negotiate contracts with new customers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and offering exceptional customer service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in strategic account management
- Deep understanding of the Industrial Applications industry and its unique challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically and analytically
