American Sign Language (ASL) Consultant - Clarifi Staffing Solutions
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ASL Consultant to join our team at Clarifi Staffing Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services in classroom settings, school events, and other educational environments to support student success and access to learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support the implementation of IEPs and accommodate the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure access to curriculum content, instructional materials, and classroom discussions.
Requirements:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, willing to accept other certifications (i.e., RID certification, state licensure)
- Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting, Deaf Education, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in ASL and fluency in English
- Knowledge of educational terminology and practices, particularly in K-12 settings
