Job Description
Our organization is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained classroom designed to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, develop comprehensive education plans, and create a structured and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties :
- Plan and Implement Classroom Instruction.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Regularly assess and track student progress toward IEP goals.
- Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to manage classroom behavior.
- Adapt the general curriculum to meet the individual needs of students in the self-contained classroom.
- Teach core subjects, including literacy, math, and life skills, using specialized strategies to support students' academic growth.
