Job Description :

• Participate in IEP meetings to provide expert recommendations.
• Evaluate students' speech and language abilities to diagnose communication disorders.
• Provide speech and language therapy in person to elementary, middle, and high school students.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ speech and language development.
• Offer consultation and support to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance student communication in the classroom.
• Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse speech and language needs, ensuring alignment with state and district goals.

Requirements

A candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or a closely related field. They should either possess or be eligible to obtain an SLP license in the state of South Carolina. Additionally, ASHA certification is a crucial requirement for consideration.
