In this role, you will assess students' functional abilities to identify needs related to fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and daily tasks. You’ll conduct thorough evaluations, prepare detailed reports, and craft individualized treatment plans that align with each student’s IEP goals. Through personalized and group therapy sessions, you'll help students overcome sensory and motor challenges, fostering their independence and success.
Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with IEP teams to design therapy strategies that complement educational objectives and promote learning in both classroom and real-world environments. Monitoring and documenting student progress will be essential to track their continued development and growth.
Requirements
- Must hold an Illinois Occupational Therapy license.
- Onsite services are required, with occasional travel.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Accredited University.
