The ideal candidate will workwith students who have a range of learning emotional physical anddevelopmentaldisabilities.
RoleBreakdown :
- Developand implement IEPs tailored to each studentsneeds.
- Create asupportive and structured classroomenvironment.
- Conduct assessments todetermine students educational needs andprogress.
- Work closely with generaleducation teachers specialists and families to support studentslearning.
- Modify curriculum andinstruction methods to accommodate students varyingneeds.
- Maintain accurate records ofstudents progress and IEPgoals.
- Provide emotional and socialsupport to students promoting a positive learningexperience.
- Participate in ongoingtraining and development to stay current with best practices inspecialeducation.
Requirements
- Experienceworking in an educationsetting
- Have anIllinois PEL with specialeducation
- A bachelors degree from anaccredited university is required; a Masters degree is aplus
