Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter Position

The Clarifi Staffing Solutions team is seeking a highly skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our educational services team. As an Educational Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other members of the educational team.

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide accurate and confidential interpretation between spoken language and American Sign Language (ASL) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure access to curriculum content, instructional materials, and classroom discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodate the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.

Requirements:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, willing to accept other certifications (i.e., RID certification, state licensure)
• Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting, Deaf Education, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and fluency in English
• Knowledge of educational terminology and practices, particularly in K-12 settings
