Star City Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking a proactive Inside Sales and Customer Support Specialist to manage customer inquiries, follow up on leads, and assist with outbound calls to drive revenue and enhance customer experience. This role involves handling sales leads for HVAC services, generators, water heaters, and service upgrades, while actively following up on unsold estimates and abandoned inquiries. The ideal candidate will be a key player in ensuring customer satisfaction, supporting lead generation, and identifying new sales opportunities.

  • Compensation: Estimate a total comp of $100-125K per year in earning potential. $60K base 2% of converted revenue. Base is there because there are some responsibilities not directly tied to converted revenue, but there is no cap!
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing or supporting HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services and membership programs, (preferred)
  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer support, or lead generation, ideally within the HVAC, plumbing, or electrical industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and recover lost sales opportunities.
  • 3 years sales experience inside or outside sales
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and following up on unsold estimates, canceled appointments, and unbooked leads.
  • Knowledge of sales CRM software and call management systems.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • The personality to come in, be positive and hustle daily.
  • Familiarity with home shows or event coordination.
  • Excellent communicator with internal and external customers
  • Motivated, self starter, energetic and personal drive is a must.
  • Ability to quickly create rapport with customers and thrive in a fast pace environment.
  • Proven success in unsold estimates or recovering abandoned leads.
  • Must be coachable and willing to learn new things
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Essential Job Functions:
  • Daily Sales and Follow-Up:
  • HVAC & Other Sales: Handle incoming sales leads for HVAC replacements, generator installations, water heater estimates, and service upgrade requests.
  • Unsold Jobs: Call on unsold jobs and estimates that Comfort Advisors (CAs) didn’t close, including HVAC and generator sales from 1-2 years ago.
  • Canceled Sales Calls: Follow up on canceled HVAC sales calls, aiming to recover lost opportunities.
  • Generator Leads: Check the generator platform daily for new generator leads, follow up on unbooked leads, and reach out on unsold generator estimates and canceled generator sales calls.
  • Customer Retention and Support:
  • Outbound Calls: During slower periods, assist with outbound calls to membership clients due for their HVAC tune-ups. Engage non-members as well, encouraging participation in maintenance plans.
  • Technician Follow-Up: Call customers after technician service calls where a sales lead was not set to offer additional follow-up support.
  • Membership Sales: Promote the benefits of joining the company's maintenance program and highlight the potential savings through annual tune-ups and repair discounts.
  • Opportunity Management:
  • Unbooked and Abandoned Calls: Monitor unbooked and abandoned calls daily to identify sales opportunities left on the table, ensuring follow-up on clients who said they’d call back but didn’t.
  • Duct Cleaning & Add-Ons: Assist with duct cleaning, humidifier, and dryer vent cleaning quotes, converting inquiries into sales over the phone.
  • Follow-Ups: Implement follow-ups by assisting on unsold estimates and old leads, ensuring accuracy and verifying whether the work has already been completed or is still an open opportunity.
  • Special Projects:
  • Home Show Coordination: Assist with organizing home shows, including managing leads, booking shows, and following up on prospects gathered during the event.
  • Generator Reviews & Club Sales: Help drive customer reviews on the generator dealer locator, and coordinate Generator Club sales to boost customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Call Center Support: Aid in follow-up efforts for abandoned calls and assist the call center during high-volume times, ensuring no potential sales lead is overlooked.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Provide regular feedback to management on the effectiveness of follow-up strategies, abandoned call recoveries, and generator club sales.
  • Coordinate with the office team to ensure sales processes, customer communications, and callbacks are seamless and productive.
