POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Maintenance
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Position Summary: Perform general repairs and maintenance to interior and exterior of building; as well as painting. Keep customer and employee safety and guest perception in mind at all times. Requires being on call as needed.
“This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job responsibilities and duties throughout the property as assigned and/or as necessary.”
Specific Duties:
· Responds in a courteous and friendly manner to guest’s questions,
complaints or requests.
· Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices, laws, regulations and
guidelines of the maintenance functions.
· Responsive to housekeeping and function area requests in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
· Possess the ability to plan and carry out programs in repair, construction and equipment maintenance.
· Must be able to work independently and show responsibility for assigned duties.
· Will carry out and complete checklists pertaining to preventive maintenance on all existing equipment, structure and grounds.
· Locate and correct in room heating, ventilator and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions.
· Make systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits.
· Handle all in house repairs including but not limited to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wall boards, wall vinyl, carpentry, plumbing systems including pipelines, toilets and sinks and any other necessary repairs.
· Maintain all electrical systems such as refrigerators, televisions and lighting.
· Paints and finish woodwork and structure at times when it will not interfere
with customer traffic.
· Responsible for upkeep of grounds, such as landscaping, weed control, clutter control, snow removal, dumping area and fence repair.
· Perform other duties as assigned by General Manager.
· Perform duties in accordance with Safety and Security Policies and Procedures.
· Perform duties in accordance with OSHA, HAZCOM and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations and other applicable state and local regulations.
Education:
· High school diploma or GED
Experience and Skills:
- Previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Advance knowledge of building management and engineering.
- Highly energetic and motivated individual.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
- Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities.
- Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner.
- Adaptable to change.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High level of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as required by the business.
Physical Demands:
· Prolong periods of standing, carrying and walking
· Lift up to 80 pounds.
· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be flexible in hours/days

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
