Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, catering, entertainment, and guest services.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences while providing expert advice on event design and execution.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring that all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
- Coordinate with vendors such as caterers, decorators, and audio-visual teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee on-site event operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance through various channels.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback for future improvements.
- Maintain relationships with clients for potential future events or referrals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management related to event planning.
- Experience in banquet services or catering is a plus.
- Knowledge of fundraising events is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
