We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in dry cleaning and laundering, with a strong commitment to providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Ensure all items are properly labeled and stored after cleaning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or dry cleaning environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus, particularly in understanding the importance of timely service.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or damage on fabrics.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
