Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, handling cash and credit card payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods or events such as banquets and catering functions.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible serving practices.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on new drink recipes, trends in the food industry, and customer service techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bartending or a related role within the hospitality sector is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and retail math is advantageous for managing inventory and sales.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal.
