JOB SUMMARY: The User Experience Designer will collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to understand and translate user needs into design solutions that align with product vision and deliver business value. In addition to working on projects, you will help create team processes and a culture of research.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to shape product/feature vision and help ensure we are solving the right problems for our users.
  • Use best practices, user insights, and analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Communicate your design approach throughout the process using the best approach for the scenario, which could include wireframes, user flows, journey or service maps, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of design and smooth implementation.
  • Advocate for users throughout the entire process.
  • Think holistically about complex systems and problems.
  • Work within a set of established patterns, identify opportunities for improvements and create new patterns where necessary.
  • Help create and improve design team processes, deliverables, and tools (we currently use Figma, Miro, Loop, Confluence, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and Jira).
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.
  • Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High-Risk Role.

Job Requirements

  • 3-6 experience as an individual contributor, preferably working in the enterprise or SaaS space. Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong portfolio of case studies of multiple shipped projects where you were the primary designer. Case studies should highlight your thought process and problem-solving abilities, as well as interaction and visual design skills.
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to explain design rationale and trade-offs to all stakeholders.
  • Experience working on data intensive applications, data visualization experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG AA 2.2) and the ability to advocate for accessibility throughout the process.
  • Experience prototyping to explore and convey potential solutions as well as elicit or refine requirements.
  • Experience conducting user research using a variety of methods.
  • Experience working with Product Managers to create and validate strategies and rational for features.
  • Experience collaborating with Developers to ensure outcomes meet user needs while balancing technical feasibility.
  • Ability to work on a project start to finish with limited guidance.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and balancing work streams.
  • Solid understanding of the web platform (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) in its current and ever-changing state. Bonus points if you keep up with all the current CSS capabilities and understand how they inform design, especially layout and responsiveness.
  • Highly skilled in Figma but open to evaluating additional prototyping tools such as UXPin, ProtoPie, and Penpot.
  • Minimum Bachelors' degree in a related field of study.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $125K to $150K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
