**Searching for a candidate to work 10am - 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a full 8-hours on Thursdays. Pay is based on experience and will be discussed in interview(s).**
Clarity Care is a new division of United Imaging Consultants (UIC), Kansas City’s leading radiology group practice. Patient Service Representative will collaborate with the entire Clarity Care team to ensure that every patient has an outstanding experience.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Schedule appointments for imaging studies and interventional radiology clinic visits
- Gather patient information including demographics, insurance, relevant orders and clinical history
- Verify insurance and obtain all required pre-authorizations and referrals for imaging and clinic visits
- Greet patients in the office, collect balances due at time of service, and ensure that patients are served in a timely fashion
- Facilitate patient navigation for recommended follow up
- Ensure the comfort and peace of mind of those waiting for patients having procedures
Qualifications:
- At least one year of related experience in a physician office or radiology setting, including patient scheduling, registration and pre-authorization
- Familiarity with medical terminology, health insurance and imaging studies
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required
