JOB SUMMARY

 Responsible for implementing MST with fidelity, demonstrating adherence to MST Treatment Principles and maintaining consistent efforts to engage and collaborate with families and other key participants in achieving treatment goals.  MST Therapists will work intensively with an active caseload ranging between four and six cases, with an average of five families at any given time.  Therapist is highly accountable

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE

•  Master's degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related subject area
• Professional licensure in related field (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, LCSW, LPS) preferred, not required, or bachelor’s degree in related social services
• Valid DL, clear driving record and reliable transportation for multiple clients at a time, proximity to designated area must be within one hour travel time
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

 LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

•  Clinical license (i.e. LPC, LCSW, Supervisor Credential – LPC-S or LCSW-S)
• SAMA
• CPR Preferred

JOB SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•  Provide direct clinical treatment using the MST treatment model and principles, including leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
• Engage in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members, including group supervision
• Actively facilitates a supportive work environment to cover other team member’s clients for vacation/time off and support each other to maintain a healthy work/life balance
• Attend regular training, professional development, supervision and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model
• Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family; gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family’s ecological context
• Work comfortably with a diverse community of clients
• Effectively connect with the families in the communities served by the team, assuring clients have access to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week support, as needed
• Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff in change-oriented treatment

Salary : $78,000 - $82,000
