We are working with a client who is undergoing a strategic payroll transformation, transitioning payroll processing to a cloud-based system. The Field Management Team (FTM) requires an experienced Change Management Consultant to support the success of this initiative. This role will focus on aligning change strategies and tactics to minimize disruption, drive adoption, and ensure the field population—particularly field mechanics—is supported through the transition.

The pay range is $65 to $70 per hour on an independent contractor basis and is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications, and specific work location.

- Partner with the Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE), FTM project team, and business stakeholders to align change activities with project milestones and impacted user groups.
- Leverage tools such as impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, communications plans, and training plans to support project goals.
- Create and deliver tailored, engaging communications to stakeholder groups that drive alignment, knowledge sharing, leadership buy-in, and employee engagement.
- Build and/or manage a change champion network, with internal support, to facilitate communication and support across departments.
- Identify learning needs, risks, and resistance points. Develop mitigation strategies to build user confidence and address issues proactively.
- Establish success metrics, monitor people-related risks, and adjust plans based on stakeholder feedback and project progress.
- Provide regular updates to the Change Management CoE and Project Team with documented progress, insights, and recommendations.
- Potential to contribute to other concurrent or future change initiatives.
- 3 years of experience leading and executing organizational change initiatives
- Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and through others
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Experience in industrial or field service environments preferred
- Proactive and collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Consultative mindset—someone who offers ideas and adds strategic value, not just executes tasks
- Comfortable interfacing with all levels of stakeholders, from field staff to senior leadership
- Skilled at gathering and incorporating feedback and sharing lessons learned
