Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist with expertise in resource allocation, timeline tracking, and budget management to join an ongoing project. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring project success by managing resources effectively, tracking progress, and providing actionable insights to maintain budgets and schedules.

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will:

• Develop and maintain resource allocation plans to ensure optimal utilization across multiple projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to forecast and adjust resource needs to meet evolving demands.
• Monitor and update project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Oversee project budgets, tracking expenditures and variances, and providing data-driven recommendations for cost control.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Approximately 6 months with the possibility to extend

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Location: Virtual

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project controls role
• Bachelor’s degree in education, project management, business administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in project management tools, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial and resource reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with technical content and industry-specific challenges
• Ability to work methodically, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
• Experience in oil and gas, energy, or related industry is preferred but not required
• Experience in capital projects is preferred but not required
• PMP certification is a plus

The pay range for this is $50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
