What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller - Meridian position at Clarity Credit Union?
Clarity Credit Union is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of full-time Teller at our Meridian Branch to assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, certificates of deposit; sells money orders, movie tickets to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed; prints, disperses and processes disputes on debit and credit cards within guidelines; maintains member records.
- Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Is responsible for compliance with established policies and regulations.
- Cross-sells credit union services.
- Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
- Answers telephone as necessary and refers to the appropriate department or individual.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, and computer input.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- 2 years' experience as a teller or within banking environment preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Detail-oriented with a mind for numbers
- Must be bondable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.40 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
