Full-time (40 hours per week)
Results Statement: I am accountable for producing the following results:
Present I Decide for Me Sexual Risk Avoidance curriculum; in addition to, a faith-based element promoting the value of a lifestyle of sexual integrity to area churches and youth programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Establish a working knowledge of all Clarity programs and services.
- Obtain Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialist Certification and recertification from Ascend.
- Become familiar with and attuned to the Clarity sexual risk avoidance culture. Stay current on sexual health issues, standards and current events to be effective in communicating to both students and parents. This includes reading books, articles, conducting research, etc.
- Attend webinars and trainings when appropriate. Be open to learning and growing in skills and abilities needed to successfully impact youth in the area of sexual health.
- Become a proficient presenter of the I Decide for Me program, specifically in the grade level assigned by the Education Director, teaching these programs as needed.
- Teach with fidelity the I Decide for Me curriculum as scheduled in public and private schools or other venues. Submit Fidelity Monitoring Tool for each class presentation.
- Establish and maintain an ongoing working relationship with area administrators and teachers.
- Maintain the highest standards for the Transformed curriculum, presenting in area faith-based settings; keeping it medically and Biblically accurate, age appropriate and culturally relevant.
- Work with area church representatives to coordinate presentations of the Transformed program. Schedule all program requests with the churches. Work with pastors before and during presentations and follow up with a thank you and share survey results
- Teach with fidelity the Transformed curriculum as scheduled in churches and other venues.
- Assist in creating additional faith-based presentations as needed
- Perform routine office work for presentations as needed including making copies, returning phone calls and emails. Coordinate ordering materials and scheduling with the Education Department Administrative staff.
- Report to the Education Director regularly; provide a monthly report.
- Regarding possible current and future grants: become familiar with grant goals, objectives and activities needed to meet program goals and objectives; assist all parties when requested and meet deadlines as needed.
Perform other tasks to support the overall objectives of Clarity. These may include, but are not limited to, presenting at Clarity volunteer trainings and in-service workshops as requested; attend quarterly Clarity staff meetings; attend Education team meetings; annual board/staff retreat; write articles for the Clarity newsletter and blog entries as requested; promote programs on radio stations as requested; assist with and attend Clarity's fundraising events as needed
