What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Portfolio Management position at Clarity Recruiting?
Our client, an independently owned New York-based real estate investment management firm, is seeking a highly motivated Vice President of Portfolio Management support its growing investment portfolios. The VP will be working on a range of investment strategies and will be engaged in all aspects of the real estate investment process, including analyzing and executing new investment opportunities; formulating new investment strategies (multifamily & student housing) and marketing materials; ongoing financial modeling and liquidity management; and investor reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Develop customized investor and prospective investor memorandums and presentations
• Monitor property-level performance through variance analysis and market research
• Maintain and analyze fund-level financial models in order to manage liquidity needs
• Execute quarterly and annual reporting
• Generate investment summaries, strategic plans and other documentation associated with fund operations
• Preparation for advisory committee meetings, board meetings and annual meetings with clients and consultants
Qualifications:
You are highly motivated and a team player with a natural ability to build relationships across the organization to deliver superior results. Your innate desire to “roll up your sleeves” is essential. You have a desire to learn and grow within the team to take on more responsibilities. In addition, you must have:
- 6-8 years of real estate investment/development, investment banking, or finance experience
- Experience with multifamily and student housing transactions/management
- Experience underwriting ground-up multifamily development opportunities with
waterfall structures as well as core/core-plus and value-add investment opportunities
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build detailed
financial models from scratch
- Managerial experience
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Effective business writing and communication skills
- Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree
Comp: 200k
Work Environment: Hybrid - 2 days WFH
Salary : $195,000 - $200,000
