Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, equipment, and tools to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet health, and any concerns observed during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service by building relationships with clients and their pets.
- Assist in animal care tasks such as feeding, walking, or providing basic medical care when necessary.
- Assist the veterinarian ie restrain pet patients
- cleaning of grooming areas and other areas of the hospital
Experience
- Previous experience in animal handling or pet grooming is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills in animal restraint, dog handling, or dog training are highly desirable.
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or in a kennel environment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their needs.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
