POSITION SUMMARY
Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assets used in the operation of the warehouse. Focus could be on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Operational & Building Maintenance (OBM).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in a safe and professional manner at all times, keeping the safety of oneself and others as their highest priority
- Perform Lock Out / Tag Out on all assets
- MHE-Perform PM’s and repairs on :
o Crown and Raymond Forklifts
o Batteries / Chargers
OBM-Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on :o Conveyor System & Packaging Equipment
o HVAC & Lighting systems
o Cubiscans / Scales
o Fire & Security Systems
o Racking Repairs
o Dock assets
o General building
Learn new skills that will benefit the Team and Company as a wholeSafely operate all warehouse equipment, while abiding by all forklift safety training, to ensure a safe work environmentEffectively communicate, with Manager and Team members, through phone, text, and emailUtilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to document labor, assets, and inventoryReport any accidents, incidents, or Safety concerns to a supervisor immediatelyKeep work zone clean and orderly and help maintain a safe and clean work environmentPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environmentMinimum of 2 years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenanceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Previous experience in the Electrical, Mechanical, PLCs, or HVAC fields preferredElectrical troubleshooting skills are beneficialExperience with automated conveyor systems and / or Crown lift equipment is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsCustomer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while standing and / or walking, up to and including 12 hours / dayRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reachingRequires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.Ability to work at elevations of up to 50 feetWORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
