We blend a sense of family with the solemn duty to ensure our community has a safe environment to enjoy their 2nd amendmend rights and pass lessons on to the next generation about the joys & responsibilities that come with firearm ownership. We need your help with that mission.
Your job as a level 1 range safety officer (rso) will be to work on the ground directly with customers on the range. You are the face of Clark Brothers on the range at all times. Your duties will include:
1. Maintaining safety at all times while the range is in operation.
2. Enforcing all firearms safety and Clark Brothers range regulations.
3. Range maintenance. From cutting boards to policing brass, the job is yours to ensure that your range is functional and presentable at all times.
4. Becoming a subject matter expert on firearms. You may or may not have expertise with firearms now, but you will. You will work directly with Chris; the range manager and owner of Cobalt Firearm Instruction to rapidly scale your skills with & knowledge of firearms. Allowing you to more effectively handle a wide variety of gun-related issues that may arise while on the range, helping you to better serve your customers. Before completing the pre-employment process you will be able to:
- Clear all common malfunctions from rifles & pistols
- Bore sight common rifles & optics
- Shoot both rifles and pistols at a level matching that of nationally recognized instructor certifications
- Identify & help customers fix common shooting mistakes
- Avoid conflicts on the range through a combination of preemptive action, verbal deescalation, authority & respect.

It will be your job to work directly with range management to give feedback from your daily observations about how Clark Brothers can continue to improve our customers' experiences.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age
Must currently have, or be willing to obtain a VA concealed carry permit
Must not have criminal record barring yourself from being around or handling/owning firearms.
LE/Mil/First Responder Service experience is a plus but not required
Must be coachable.
Must be humble. It takes confidence matched with humility & patience to effectively run a range.

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
