Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our law office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law including probate, real estate, municipal, and other transactional matters. This role requires excellent legal research skills and the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of clients. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and mediations.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in various matters.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and case law relevant to practice areas.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Manage case files efficiently, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Engage with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in Workers Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law, Family Law, Environmental Law, or Tribal Law Regulations is preferred.
- Strong litigation skills with a track record of successful case outcomes.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools such as Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
