We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on both residential and commercial projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and contribute to creating aesthetically pleasing environments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure proper mixing of paint and matching colors as required for specific projects.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain the quality of work.
- Collaborate with construction teams on remodeling and renovation projects to ensure timely completion.
- Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with fixture installation and other maintenance person tasks as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Experience applying intumescent paint
- Proven experience in construction painting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry, concrete finishing, remodeling, and renovation processes is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans for accurate execution of tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to construction estimating, welding, and fixture installation is advantageous.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
