PROJECT MANAGER

Role and Responsibilities
- May manage 1 large project or several projects, depending on dollar value and complexity
- Read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications and contract documents
- Able to perform all Project Engineer duties. Mentor and train Project Engineer(s) on assigned projects and tasks
- Partner with the Project Superintendent(s) to manage all field and office operations for the project
- Be able to create bid packages that fully describe and delineate scope of work quickly, efficiently, and accurately
- Be able to accurately compare bids and create a thorough bid analysis for each work system
- Be able to create subcontracts for all scopes of work in a timely fashion
- Responsible for the financial performance and reporting for projects
- Manage and comply with project budgets; understand what is/is not included in the budget
- Communicate, document, and track changes to the budget, process changes to client and subcontractors promptly
- Responsible for flow of communication for a project including, but not limited to, RFIs, submittals, updating documents, maintaining accurate and detailed meeting notes and conversation Ensure the input of all the data into the appropriate Procore sections
- Assist the Superintendent in updating schedules and assuring contractual responsibilities are met
- Establish documentation and administrative procedures for the project regarding contracts and construction documents.
- Understand the big picture of the project(s) and of CCI including accounting, invoicing, GL codes, sales tax laws, master subcontracts, insurance, L&I, and safety
- Understand the complications of billing requirements for client and client’s financial institution
- Familiar and proficient with different contracting models including lump sum, cost plus and GMP
- BIM experience a plus
- Perform any other task(s) requested by CCI
Hiring Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering or related Preferred
- 5 years of progressive construction experience as project engineer, project manager or superintendent for a general contracting firm
- Experience leading teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with field staff, architects, engineers, and owners
- Good understanding of all construction means and methods
- Excellent bidding and estimating skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks
- Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation

- Ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction
Additional Training/Certification
The following certification is required for this position. If an employee does not have the certification, they will be required to obtain it within 6 months of the date of hire or transfer into the position.
- CCI Annual General Construction Safety Training
- First Aid/ CPR
- OSHA 10 Certification
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time exempt position, requiring occasional evening and weekend work. Annual salary is
$95,000–150,000 DOE. Clark Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer. In addition, Clark offers the following benefits to full-time staff:
Paid Time Off: 80 hours per calendar year of paid time off (“PTO”) for sick, vacation, and personal time.

Insurance: Employees are eligible for the CCI medical, dental and vision insurance as well as 401K program on their first day of work. We offer two options for health care insurance and pay 100% of the employee’s monthly premium for either option. Health care insurance is available for spouses and dependent(s); however, the employee is responsible for 50% of the premium for his/her spouse and dependent(s).
401K: CCI has a 401K program to assist employees in saving for retirement. Employees are eligible to designate how much they would like to contribute to their 401K account starting their first day of work. CCI offers a 401k match program, matching up to 4% of the employee's annual pay. Profit Sharing contributions, if any, are discretionary and paid after the end of the year.
Bonuses: Bonuses such as performance or project-based bonuses may be distributed throughout the year.
Cell Stipend: You are eligible to receive a $500/year cell phone stipend, paid quarterly at the end of each quarter. You must be employed during the entire quarter to be eligible for that period.
This is an onsite position.
