What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Maintenance position at Clark County Assessor?
Clark County (Indiana) Government is seeking qualified applicants for the full time 3rd shift position of Floor Maintenance. The person in this position will primarily vacuum, mop and maintain the floors in Clark County Government buildings. The usual hours are 7 pm to 2 am, 35 hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities include: vacuum, clean and maintain floors and carpets, mop floors; use cleaning cart to transport supplies; strip, wax, refinish and/or buff hard surface floors with electronic buffers and floor machines; performs other duties as assigned including occasional snow/ice removal.
Required skills and abilities include being detail oriented and thorough; ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of employees and citizens; sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English and to complete work efficiently, effectively and courteously.
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of standing and walking; frequent pulling, pushing and bending; walking up and down stairs; occasional work outdoors in various weather; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
