Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and safety skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Lifeguards will also ensure the safety of all participants while promoting a love for swimming.
Duties
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety and provide constructive feedback on technique.
- Perform pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and checking water quality to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, maintaining a safe environment for all swimmers.
- Engage with guests and parents, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Assist in organizing swim events or competitions as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is preferred but candidate can recive certification training upon hiring.
- Previous experience in swim instruction or related roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and pool maintenance practices.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (e.g., moving equipment or cleaning supplies).
- Must be comfortable working in a pool environment and able to swim proficiently.
- A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to motivate others are essential for success in this role.
