Job Summary
The Recreation Leader plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for participants in recreational programs. Duties
- Plan and implement recreational activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
- Supervise participants to ensure safety and adherence to program rules.
- Provide support and guidance to teens with special needs or varying abilities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate events and activities.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in a clean and safe condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and community members regarding program details and participant progress.
- Assist in the training of volunteers or junior staff as needed.
Skills
- Experience working with students in educational or recreational settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices to support diverse learning needs.
- First aid certification to ensure participant safety during activities.
