What are the responsibilities and job description for the Departmental Systems Administrator (Operational Technology Systems Administrator) position at Clark County Water Reclamation District?
The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Operational Technology Systems Administrator position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- All aspects of Windows server and domain planning, configuration, installation, and administration.
- Management, installation, and configuration of network security devices and systems including firewalls, intrusion prevention, monitoring systems, and security programs.
- Planning, configuration, management, and monitoring of secure remote access using VPNs and secure gateways.
- Planning, management, and implementation of Active Directory, group policies, DNS, and other forest and domain level tasks at a large, multi-facility installation.
- Planning and management of software installations including MSSQL, operational technology applications and utility programs.
- Planning, management, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of network equipment including routers, switches, cell modems, wireless devices, telemetry devices, cabling, fiber optics, and other devices.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and four (4) years of full-time professional level experience in systems analysis and design and hardware and software acquisition in a departmental environment, including some lead or supervisory experience. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred.

Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.
Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment.
