What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician I/II position at Clark County Water Reclamation District?
The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Engineering Technician I/II position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Performing a variety of computations in an office; entering data into an automated system and producing reports and statistical summaries.
- Contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the service group and to its customers by offering suggestions and taking direction from the lead position and participating as an active member of a work team.
- Providing information to the public, in person, the Internet and the phone which may require the interpretation and application of policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records and files related to the service group.
- Participating effectively as part of the work team to ensure civil plan submittals are processed; inspection scheduling and pre-construction meetings are performed; and interfacing with other service groups and agencies are performed professionally.

Engineering Technician I - Equivalent to two years of college or technical training in engineering, drafting, construction, survey or related technical support field.
Engineering Technician II - In addition to the above: A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience in providing technical support to an engineering function. Some college level course work in an appropriate technical subject is desirable.

Working Conditions: Specified positions may work with exposure to heavy traffic, hazardous terrain and various weather conditions. Specified positions may be required to work flexible or extended work hours.
Licensing and Certification: Specified positions require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
