What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Clark County, WI?
Clark County is recruiting for a full-time social worker to support the expansion of Clark County’s Adult Protective Services (APS) Unit. APS works with adults (18 years and older) with disabilities and elder adults (60 and older) who are at risk and/or experiencing some form of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation. The primary role and responsibility of an APS worker is to investigate and intervene in reports of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation as guided by WI State Statutes (46.90, Ch 54, and Ch 55). The overarching goal of the APS system is to link vulnerable adults and elder adults at risk, or currently experiencing, abuse and neglect with protective services in the least restrictive means to promote safety and quality of life.
Bachelor’s degree in social work or another human service related field required. Certification or eligibility for certification in Wisconsin as a social worker preferred.
Starting wage for this position is $27.05 - $34.30 per hour depending on experience.
This position qualifies for a full County benefit package including: health, dental, vision, Wisconsin Retirement System with County match, disability, paid time off, and paid holidays off.
