What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Highway Laborer position at Clark County, WI?
Overview/Purpose of Position:
The Clark County Highway Department is accepting applications for Limited Term Labor Employees for the 2025 construction season. Limited Term Labor Employees performs traffic control operations on road projects and provides labor resource for road maintenance and construction task. Employee may choose to report to either the Owen, Loyal or Neillsville Highway facility locations. These are Limited Term Employment positions for the required months of June, July and August. Additional time beyond those months may be available.
Requirements:
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required. Candidates must have ability to work outdoors and stand/walk for up to 12 hours per day and have the ability to work required overtime on short notice. Standard work week is four ten hour work days, Monday through Thursday. Required overtime during work week and on some Fridays. There is no weekend work.
Benefits:
Starting hourly wage for this position is $17.07 to $19.38, wage may be increased based on relative experience.
