We are seeking a skilled and motivated Control Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for various industrial applications. This role requires a deep understanding of control theory, automation, and process optimization, with hands-on experience in programming, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated processes, machinery, or equipment.
- Work with project teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Develop and implement control algorithms and process optimization strategies.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Ensure system compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., safety, quality).
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
- Perform system diagnostics and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other software and hardware components.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and process flow diagrams.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in technology, and control system best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) working as a Control Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency with control system hardware (PLCs, RTUs, sensors, actuators).
- Experience with control system software (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of control theory (PID, model-based control, etc.) and process control techniques.
- Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C , or Python.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations is a plus (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
- Experience with the design and implementation of safety control systems (SIS) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Control Systems, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Experience with advanced control strategies (e.g., model predictive control, adaptive control).
- Familiarity with process simulation tools and software.
- Certification in control systems (e.g., ISA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud-based systems and IoT for control system monitoring and data analytics.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
