We’re seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to join a leading pharmaceutical company with end-to-end expertise in R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a seasoned accounting professional to lead our monthly closing, consolidation, and financial reporting processes. This role will manage general accounting functions, oversee key financial areas like cash, investments, debt, and leases, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You'll also drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead domestic and international accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial close and reporting.
- Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and variance analyses.
- Manage a team handling cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and more.
- Review and approve reconciliations, large payments, and indirect tax filings.
- Support SEC financial reporting and monthly profit review processes.
- Optimize accounting systems and streamline close processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX controls.
- Support internal and external audits and mitigate financial risks.
Who You Are:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA required, MBA preferred); 15 years of accounting experience with 5 years in management.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Systems: Experience with ERP and reporting tools (OneStream a plus); advanced Excel skills.
- Skills: Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
