Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems and components. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with a hands-on approach and thrives in a collaborative, project-driven environment.
As a key contributor to our engineering team, you will play a critical role in new product development, system integration, and performance optimization across a range of applications. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and existing products
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, schematics, and PCB layouts
- Perform simulations, testing, and validation of electrical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers
- Lead or support failure analysis, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, compliance requirements, and safety guidelines
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve product performance and reliability
- Support prototyping, production ramp-up, and product lifecycle management
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in design reviews, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience in electrical design and development
- Proficient in ECAD tools (such as Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar)
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, and power electronics
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART)
- Knowledge of simulation tools
- Strong lab and troubleshooting skills using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC)
- Experience with ISO 9001 compliance
