We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing, process engineering, and lean methods to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and implementing cost-effective solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production, process optimization, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze, design, and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent quality.
- Lean Methodologies: Utilize lean manufacturing principles such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement in production systems.
- Design for Manufacturability: Work closely with design engineers to provide feedback on designs, ensuring they are manufacturable, cost-effective, and optimized for efficient production.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions to resolve recurring problems.
- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow charts.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at process improvement, new product introduction, and technology upgrades to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure the successful implementation of process changes and to address any operational challenges.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and lean techniques to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or a related role.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Strong background in design for manufacturability and familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and process control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and interact with multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in a high-volume production environment (automotive, electronics, consumer goods, etc.).
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
